Nail Designs With Gel Base

Certain nail designs can stand the test of time and stick around for decades without getting phased out. These “Legendary Looks”, according to Byrdie may look like the classic red, the famous blueberry milk hue, or the naked nail, a natural look. With structured gel manicures on the rise, here are some timeless looks that will look even better with the sturdy gel base.

1.) Square French: This look combines elements of the original French manicure with the square nail trend that circulated through the 90s. J. Lo and Victoria Beckham are two who have been spotted through the years rocking this look.

2.) Sheer Pink: InStyle says that this look is “simple and functional" but can be added to by adding length to the nail. This style is professional and sleek while still adding that pop of color you don’t get from something as simple as a french manicure.

3.) Bright Red: A true time classic, the red nail look has roots in royalty as it was one of the first hues used on nails during ancient times to demonstrate status. Today, a bright red manicure can work for anything from a date night to a day at the office.

4.) Navy Blue: Navy is a color that can work year-round, InStyle says. I have worn Navy on my nails in the middle of winter and on my summer vacation. The dark shade can pop against a glowing tan or the paleness that the winter months bring, and is a solid choice for your next time at the nail salon.
